In Ghana there are two major companies who are into producing of African prints and they are: Ghana Textile Printers(G.T.P) and Akosombo Textile Limited (A.T.L).
African prints are produced in several colours, designs and patterns.  African prints helps us to tell our stories, since they also convey messages which have specific meaning in the Ghanaian Culture and these include:

'S3 WO b3kame hu as3m a fa akonya tinase (stool)'
This has an akan meaning which means if you will talk about me have a seat.
'Nsubra'
In Akan 'Nsubra' means well. The tiny dots which are in a spiral form resemble the ripples made in a well after water is fetched from it or when a stone dropped into its depths.

This fabric has got Ga language literally meaning that is I love you like sugarcane since it refers to the Ga language expression ' mi sumo no tamo sh3'
