The Standard Based Curriculum

Few months ago, some Ghanaians where contemplating over the fact that Ghana's Education System for the basic school is objective based of which i am included, because it did not allow pupils to explore and feel part of the learning environment.
The National Council For Curriculum and Assessment, based on the above has developed a new curriculum which is a shift from the objective based curriculum to a standard based curriculum with focus on strengthening the acquisition of the 4Rs ( Reading, wRiting, aRithmetic and cReativity ) as basic skills for life long learning and national development, which has been implemented since the beginning of 2019/2020 academic year in September by the basic and kindergarten schools in Ghana.
According to some facilitators formerly known as teachers and learners also formerly known as pupils, the new curriculum has been very helpful and interesting since its implementation, because it gives learners the opportunity to involve themselves in group works and think pair in order to share ideas on a particular topic in class.
These learners are having a group work

These learners are using the think pair method to edit as essay they both wrote individually.
